Lew’s Fulton & Hurley Shell was the original birthplace of Grandpa Hook. Grandpa Hook was used primarily as an attention getter for marketing Lew’s Shell service station. As Lew’s business contacts grew this led him to use Granpa Hook to be more involved in community parades, community events and racing venues.
